چکیده

Intermittent fasting, which can effectively reduce obesity and improve the related metabolic syndrome has become an exciting research area in recent years. Adipose tissue is pivotal regulating metabolism determining occurrence of obesity. In current study, we aimed to investigate effects acute fasting (AF) on fat tissue. Mice were subjected AF for 36 h, receiving normal chow (low-fat diet [LFD]) or a high-fat (HFD), with free ad libitum access drinking water, those fed free-diet counterparts without serveding as controls. We found that obviously reshaped morphology (WAT) promoted beiging white adipose both LFD- HFD-fed mice. principally improved lipid metabolism, increased M2- polarization macrophages WAT Interestingly, dramatically upregulated Sirt5 expression levels succinylation, suggesting AF-induced beneficial might occur via regulation altered succinylation fatty tissues. Our study clearly showed remodeling function during AF; terms mechanism, by provide new insights into mechanism(s) underlying improvement energy restriction.

Changes in Brain Tissue and Behavior Patterns Induced by Single Short-Term Fasting in Mice

In humans, emaciation from long-term dietary deficiencies, such as anorexia, reportedly increases physical activity and brain atrophy. However, the effects of single short-term fasting on brain tissue or behavioral activity patterns remain unclear. To clarify the impact of malnutrition on brain function, we conducted a single short-term fasting study as an anorexia model using male adult mice a...

An adult with atopic dermatitis and repeated short-term fasting.

It has been reported that nutritional stress, such as short-term fasting and long-term energy restriction, has a suppressive effect on allergic dermatitis in experimental animals. Furthermore, clinical study has demonstrated a positive association between weight loss by low-energy diet and improvement in patients with atopic dermatitis. In this report, a 23-year-old female with atopic dermatiti...
